We know that this type of cancer is problematic due to fewer treatment options and typical low survival rates. Study author Dr. Edward Schaeffer was succinct in saying, “…screening saves lives.” GPCC couldn’t agree more.
From the outset, GPCC has vigorously disagreed with the US Preventative Services Task Force 2012 recommendation against screening. GPCC doubled down by organizing free screenings. From August – October alone in 2016, there will be 12 free screenings on various days and locations. Pay attention if you live in or near Atlanta, Columbus Conley, Cumming, Decatur, Jonesboro, Macon, West Point, or Woodstock.
